Shyne & Diddy Squash Decade-Long Beef

After more than a decade of not speaking, Shyne and his old label boss, Diddy, have settled their differences. Shyne told MTV.com that he and Diddy spoke on the phone and have ended any animosity between them.

“As far as Puff is concerned, that’s been a long time coming,” Shyne shared with MTV News. The former Bad Boy spitter also revealed that while serving his nearly decade long prison term, Diddy reached out to him.

“He had reached out to me twice while I was in the pen, but I just wasn’t ready for it.”

Shyne and Diddy’s beef began in 1999, when the two, along with Jennifer Lopez were involved in a shooting at Club New York. Shyne received a nine year sentence while Diddy was acquitted of his charges.

Fast-forward to present day and Shyne says he doesn’t have any ill will towards the Bad Boy CEO, and has put the past behind him.

“I felt how I felt, I said what I said. In retrospect, when you looked at the way he handled it, he held it down, he wore it,” Shyne said of Diddy. “He ain’t had nothing to say; always had good things to say. It was always, ‘Yo, whatever Shyne need, we got him.'”
