Shyne & Diddy Squash Decade-Long Beef

After more than a decade of not speaking, Shyne and his old label boss, Diddy, have settled their differences. Shyne told MTV.com that he and Diddy spoke on the phone and have ended any animosity between them.

“As far as Puff is concerned, that’s been a long time coming,” Shyne shared with MTV News. The former Bad Boy spitter also revealed that while serving his nearly decade long prison term, Diddy reached out to him.

“He had reached out to me twice while I was in the pen, but I just wasn’t ready for it.”

Shyne and Diddy’s beef began in 1999, when the two, along with Jennifer Lopez were involved in a shooting at Club New York. Shyne received a nine year sentence while Diddy was acquitted of his charges.

Fast-forward to present day and Shyne says he doesn’t have any ill will towards the Bad Boy CEO, and has put the past behind him.

“I felt how I felt, I said what I said. In retrospect, when you looked at the way he handled it, he held it down, he wore it,” Shyne said of Diddy. “He ain’t had nothing to say; always had good things to say. It was always, ‘Yo, whatever Shyne need, we got him.'”

THE LATEST IN HIP HOP BEEF: Common Directly Gets At Drake – Calls Him "Canada Dry"

In Uncategorized on 01/11/2012 at 2:11 am

The subliminal disses are a wrap! The beef between Drake and Common is now official after Common raps directly to the Young Money crew member, Drake, in Common’s, “Stay Schemin (Remix).”

Drake let off shots at Common on Rick Ross’s “Stay Schemin” single and “indirectly” told the legendary emcee to “speak up” when he sees Drake.
Common was not afraid to confront Drake (a.k.a. Canada Dry), ending the “Stay Schemin (Remix)” with the line, “Make no mistake I’m talking to Drake.”
The question is, will this battle continue?  Fans and rap enthusiasts are anxiously awaiting Drake’s response to the remix.
How far will this feud be taken?  Do you think Drake will try to squash the beef or is this rap war?  I’m sure we’re soon to find out!
If you haven’t heard the diss record, Listen to Common’s “Stay Schemin (Remix)” below!
