Young Jeezy talks Rick Ross on "RapFix Live" Says It Was All About Selling Records

During his visit to “RapFix Live” on Wednesday (November 30), Young Jeezy opened up about the status of his relationship with Rick Ross, explaining that he doesn’t have any real beef with the Miami rapper. Instead, the Snowman recapped a few incidents from the past year, in an attempt to illustrate why his relationship with Ross is currently nonexistent. “I felt like it was about selling records,” Jeezy said, about their back-and-forth exchanges over the past few months.

NUMBERS DON’T LIE! Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV is Highest Selling Rap Album

Just three months after its release Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV has been certified double platinum by the RIAA. The album has sold about 1.7 million copies in this short time span.

The LP sold 964K copies during its first week and has yet to slowdown. This accolade has landed C4 the rank as the highest selling rap album, as well as, the highest-selling album from a male artist. Lil Wayne broke his own record from 2008 with Tha Carter IIImoving over a million units in the first week. Wayne and C4 also hold the record for the highest selling album on iTunes moving 345,000 digital copies its first week.

There’s been a rumor floating around on the internet that rapper, Too Short is dead.  Well, it’s NOT True!  Too Short is alive and well and still getting it while the getting is good!

In case you haven’t heard the false reports, it’s been said that the rapper died from a heart attack today — and several pranksters have already attempted to change the guy’s Wiki page to reflect his death.

But T.S. just tweeted, writing, “Stop calling my phone. I’m not dead. Been in the lab working on my 19th album.”

Busta Rhymes Is Signed To Cash Money?

It’s obvious that Busta Rhymes is a fan of the YMCMB crew.  He’s jumped on tracks with Lil Wayne and Drake, but now it seems that he’s an official member of the Cash Money family.

Busta sat down with Funkmaster Flex on his Wednesday night show, where he basically confirmed joining the YMCMB roster.

Busta also tweeted the YMCMB head honcho, Birdman, “Movie time family!!!” I guess it’s show time for Busta!

Dr. Dre took time out to chat it up with The Fader during the grand opening of the Beats By Dre store in SoHo earlier this month. He discussed what Beats By Dre embody as a brand and the future of the company. Most importantly he disclosed that in the last 27 years he hasn’t had a lengthy vacation from the studio. Outside of working with Kendrick Lamar and Slim The Mobster, he plans to take a break from music to enjoy life and family time.

Wonder where this leaves the highly anticipated Detox album?
